The Tone Secret recreates the sonic DNA of the most iconic users of the green screamer heard on countless studio recordings and live performances without the need for a cranked mid-scooped amplifier to run the pedal into. The TS only utilizes 50% of the gain found in a traditional green OD pedal; however, the added pre-overdrive and post overdrive controls allow you to tweak the OD characteristics to match any amplifier and simulate amp break-up without dime-ing the “DRIVE” knob on your pedal. Additionally, we’ve added individual controls for treble and mid-range frequencies, along with our “GRIT” control to dial in the ratio of your amp’s natural break-up in tandem with the overdrive produced by the Tone Secret. If you’re looking for a screaming OD pedal that nails the classic and contemporary sounds heard on your favorite records, look no further than the Tone Secret.

DNA of a classic "Screamer" hitting a "Blackface" 12AX7 preamp

Über versatile drive voicing with Pre-Vol, Grit, & Master Vol controls

True Bypass

Designed in California

9VDC center-negative power operation (adapter not included)

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0343/4368/2183/products/vertex-effects-effects-and-pedals-overdrive-and-boost-vertex-effects-tone-secret-od-overdrive-pedal-vertexts-28058242875527.jpg?v=1646744341
mission-engineering-nuaudio-nutube-velocity-overdrivedistortion-1045419
Mission Engineering NuAudio Nutube Velocity Overdrive/Distortion
Velocity is a dual gain level overdrive and distortion pedal for guitar.

The LO gain setting is perfect for subtle overdrive and pushing the front end of an amp slightly harder. It features medium gain capabilities and can also be set as a boost pedal thanks to the versatile sweep of the tone and gain knobs paired with the lift/clip switch. Keep it as a clean transparent boost to fatten up your signal or use it for leads and riffs with the gain cranked.

The goal with the pedal is simple: We wanted it to do several things and do them well. As you try different pickups, you will further see the ability of this pedal to thrive in any playing situation. It pairs well with other pedals (before or after) and can find a spot on any players board. We encourage experimentation with the gatekeeper drive to find your unique sound.

Features:

Lift/Clip switch: lifts diodes for a fuller sound

Tone knob: Active tone control that follows a low pass filter that

boosts treble.

Gain knob: Sweeps from clean boost to medium gain

Volume knob: unity around 2 o’clock

Use a standard 9 – 18 volt negative center DC adapter.

DO NOT EXCEED 18 volts!

Current draw 10ma

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0343/4368/2183/products/porter-pickups-effects-and-pedals-overdrive-and-boost-porter-pickups-gatekeeper-overdrive-pedal-gkpdr-30143478562951.webp?v=1672960448
