Featuring the traditional X-bracing pattern favored by Bob in the early days, the 815e serves up a warm, richly textured sound with clear trebles, throaty lows and a slight scoop in the midrange, all complemented by beautifully blooming overtones. A modern Taylor neck profile offers a hand-friendly feel and relaxed fretting, while older elements like the mustache bridge and a "straight-ear" peghead silhouette capped with a rosewood veneer. Finished off with the sleek appointments Bob furnished for his original builds, this model sports white binding, a three-ring rosette in green abalone, ebony bridge pins with green abalone dots, a faux-tortoiseshell pickguard, a gloss-finished body and neck, and non-engraved Large Diamond fretboard inlays in mother-of-pearl. It includes a special Legacy interior lable and an LR Baggs Element VTC undersaddle pickup with volume and tone controls mounted inside the soundhole. It ships with a deluxe hardshell case.

Overview

Jumbo acoustic inspired by Bob Taylor's original design

Indian rosewood back and sides for warmth, clear trebles

Sitka spruce top delivers power and projection

Adjustable, easy-playing modern Taylor neck

Includes LR Baggs Element VTC pickup

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0343/4368/2183/files/taylor-acoustic-guitars-jumbo-taylor-legacy-collection-815e-jumbo-sitka-indian-rosewood-natural-taylor-legacy-collection-815e-jumbo-sitka-indian-rosewood-natural-h805003018100073000-1202135006-u1-1170503131.jpg?v=1768370266
taylor-legacy-collection-714ce-grand-auditorium-cedarindian-2149853
Taylor Legacy Collection 714ce Grand Auditorium Cedar/Indian Rosewood Natural

Built to honor the innovative spirit that drove Bob Taylor's guitar designs dating back to the early years, the Legacy 714ce celebrates the Grand Auditorium body shape that Bob introduced to the world in 1994. This exclusive Legacy collection model boasts a tonewood pairing not found in the Taylor standard line: mahogany back and sides with a top of Western Red cedar. With its punchy midrange and dry, woody character, mahogany is perfectly suited to pair with cedar's warmth and soft-touch sensitivity, which will especially appeal to fingerstyle players and strummers with a lighter stroke. Voiced with the X-bracing that Bob used in the first Grand Auditorium models three decades ago and crafted with Taylor's signature slim, easy-playing neck profile, the Legacy 514ce is sure to inspire both traditionalists and contemporary-minded players alike.
