With an even shorter scale than the Grand Concert, the GT features an asymmetrical C-Class bracing—which employs ideas adapted from Taylor’s V-class bracing—to produce a stronger low-end response than a guitar its size would normally deliver. Lightweight like mahogany, the fast, vibrant attack of the Urban Ash paired with a solid spruce top gives these GT series models a dramatic, wide-awake sound that lends an almost flamenco guitar–like character and quick responsiveness.

Grand Theater
Sporting the curves of the Grand Orchestra (Taylor’s “Jumbo” body style) scaled into uniquely compact proportions—including a shorter, 24 1/8-inch scale length for a slinky and responsive handfeel—Taylor’s Grand Theater (GT) body shape employs C-Class bracing to pack the tonal depth of a full-size guitar into a form that’s easy to play. With dimensions that fall between the travel-friendly GS Mini and Grand Concert body shapes, the GT represents Taylor’s reimagination of the parlor-style guitar for the present
