The OCD story
Born in 2004, Mike Fuller’s OCD has sold more than 500,000 pedals. Its appeal has always been in the feel: the way it responds when you dig in, the character of the drive, and the connection between your hands and the amp.

As the circuit evolved, different versions became favorites. Some players stayed loyal to the original. Others found their sound in V2 or the Custom Shop Germanium. For years, we wanted to bring those sounds together and build the OCD we had always wanted to make.

LUX is the result. The original V1. OCD V2. Custom Shop Germanium. And now, RAW. Play softly. Dig in. Roll back your guitar’s volume. LUX gives you four ways to find that feeling, with expressive drive, complex overtones, and the character of your guitar still coming through.

The goal was the ultimate OCD. This is where that obsession led us.

Michael Fuller on the OCD
“There are a lot of OD’s comparing themselves to and stealing from the Fulltone OCD, and that’s to be expected when you’re the best selling handmade overdrive of all time. There are many out-and-out clones of the OCD, and that’s some form of a compliment I suppose, but I’d like to personally thank you for buying and supporting the original...the one and only OCD.” - Michael Fuller, OCD designer

Voices and controls

  • VTG and the original V1 circuit: The cult-following V1 that started it all. Select VTG on the left circuit for the original OCD voice: open feel, touch sensitivity and amp-like punch. Shape it with dedicated Volume, Drive and Tone controls. Set it for the sound you want to leave on all night, or make it the second stage of a stacked drive sound.
  • All new RAW mode: Flip the left side to RAW for a more aggressive, less compressed sound. A fresh edge with an immediate, open feel gives you another way to hit the front of your amp. When you want the drive to bite harder, this is the switch.
This might be the most fun OCD you have ever played.

V2 and Custom Shop Germanium
The right side puts OCD V2 and Custom Shop Germanium in the same circuit section, selectable from the V2/Ge toggle. Use it on its own, or feed it into the left circuit to hear what the combination can do.

  • V2: A decade of tweaks to achieve perfection. The Class A JFET input lets you hear and feel the difference between picking softly and digging in. More sustain. More ringing overtones. More of what makes your guitar and amp sound like you.

  • Ge: Flip the switch for the Custom Shop Germanium circuit, with hand-selected germanium diodes for its distinctive tube-like feel and wider dynamics.
    Independent control of both circuits

Each side has its own HP/LP switch for High Peak or Low Peak EQ, along with independent Volume, Drive and Tone. Each footswitch engages its own circuit. Choose one voice per side, use either drive on its own, or engage both.

Enhanced Bypass: Your tone matters. Even when the drive is off. Fulltone’s Enhanced Bypass gets a beefed-up design in OCD’Lux, built to help preserve the tone and picking dynamics you love through the cables and pedals between your guitar and amp. Choose Enhanced Bypass or True Bypass to suit your setup.

Built in the USA: Black sparkle, cream controls and the unmistakable OCD identity. OCD’Lux brings its expanded control set into one enclosure with four top-mounted audio jacks. Built in the USA and ready to earn its place on your board.

Routing and product details

  • Stack both circuits: Plug your guitar into RIGHT IN and connect LEFT OUT to your amp. The right circuit feeds the left internally: V2 or Ge into V1 VTG or RAW. Use either circuit by itself, or engage both to build a bigger drive sound. Set one side for your main tone and bring in the other when the song calls for more.
  • Split them across your rig: Four top-mounted jacks give each circuit its own input and output. Use RIGHT OUT and LEFT IN to place other pedals between the two sections, or route the circuits to different positions in your chain. With external patching, you can also reverse their order. A suitable splitter and mixer or routing system lets you use them in parallel.

Keep the two drives together when that serves the song. Separate them when your rig calls for something else.
